The sexiest music videos of the year so far

Kat Graham, Lana del Rey, and Jennifer Lopez aren't afraid to show some skin. (YouTube)Having passed the halfway mark on 2012, now would seem like a good time to stop and reflect on the best entertainment of the year so far. Which brings us to a bunch of sexy music videos you probably wouldn't want to watch with your mother. But assuming she's not around, here's our list of the sexiest music videos we've seen this year.

Madonna - "Girl Gone Wild"

This song has nothing to do with those salacious Girls Gone Wild videos you see advertised during late night infomercials. No, "Girl Gone Wild" is just another poptastic track from Madonna that happens to have a seriously sexy music video attached to its name.

Lana Del Rey (ft. A$AP Rocky) - "National Anthem"

This nearly eight minute long mini-movie doesn't involve booty shaking, stripper poles, or innuendo. But it does have a black JFK in A$AP Rocky, and unexpected thigh grabbing, which makes it sexy in a provocative, Mad Men meets Kanye West kind of way.

Lana Del Rey - "Blue Jeans"

"Blue Jeans" sticks to standard sexy music video tropes thanks to half-naked people swimming, making out, and doing other things that happen in Calvin Klein fragrance ads.

Jennifer Lopez - "Dance Again"

Featuring her boyfriend Casper Smart, this racy vid includes footage of scantly clad women (Lopez included), half naked men, stripper poles, and a complete reenactment of the famously sexy, upside down Spider-Man kissing scene.

Kat Graham - "Put Your Graffiti on Me"

This Vampire Diaries star gives street art a sexy makeover with her "Put Your Graffiti on Me" music video. Assuming you don't get distracted from the constant use of cowbell, you should find yourself captured by Graham's seductive dance moves. It's easier to absorb lines like "Cotton-candy lollipop / Sticky like a post it" when they're being sung by someone as good looking as her.

Rhye - "Open"

Rhye isn't as famous as most of the artists on this list (in fact, no one seems to know much about them at all). But one thing's clear: They know how to create some seriously steamy footage. Which brings us to their questionably safe for work "Open" music video, one that revolves around a series of couples making love.

Honorable Mention:
Michelle Jenneke's Sexy Pre-Race Boogie
Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke isn't a pop star. Nor does this clip have anything to do with selling records. That said, the video of her attempt to qualify for this year's Summer Games does involve dancing and music, and has millions of views on YouTube. So in light of this year's Olympics, we'll give her an honorable mention. (It's just too bad she didn't qualify.)
